About the project

One project. One developer.

BELORET is built by one developer outside regular working hours. There is no studio or publisher behind it.

Why BELORET

A world I want to explore

I want to build a world I would want to explore myself: a fully fictional post-Soviet region shaped by industrial decline, severe seasons, dangerous nature, and people who can never be trusted completely.

How it is built

Progress, one finished step at a time

The work happens in the evenings, on weekends and whenever I can give it a few focused hours. That makes scope, priorities and finished steps especially important.

I understand the scale of the game I want to make, so BELORET develops through prototypes, small completed stages, experiments, mistakes and constant learning.

The goal

Survival shaped by place and people

The goal is a harsh, systemic survival experience where climate, scarcity, infection, decaying infrastructure and uncertain encounters with other survivors all matter.

An open record of the work

This site is both a presentation of the game and an open development journal. News records current work; the roadmap shows the direction without turning it into a promise list.
